Appointments

I am lucky to have a comfortable and calm space to perform Hypnotherapy in east Maidstone. All sessions will take place there.

Initial consultation

All new clients must have an initial consultation lasting from 1 to 2 hours.

This first meeting is a chance for us to discuss your needs and goals, and to mutually decide if hypnotherapy could help your concern. It will also give us both an opportunity to decide if we can work together and discuss any other issues that may arise other than your primary concern.

This session will also determine how many consequent sessions I feel will be appropriate to assist with your primary concern for the best potential outcome.

This initial meeting can be discussed face-to-face or through email, skype or phone. I have found that face-to-face sessions bring the best results, but I am happy to complete this in the way that works best for you.

Refreshments and facilities

During our sessions I will provide basic refreshments.

Unfortunately I do not have access to a toilet. However, there are public toilets available within a 2-minute drive or 10-minute walk from my property. A map of all accessible facilities can be provided on request.

Therapeutic sessions

All sessions must be paid at least 48 hours in advance.

Failure to pay within the agreed timeframe, without prior agreement from myself, will result in the appointment no longer being available.

Each agreed and booked session after the initial consultation will be around 1 hour.

To make the most effective use of this time, you will need to:

  • give open and honest feedback to me between each meeting
  • complete any tasks set
  • discuss improvements, concerns and changes in your wellbeing immediately

Simply email me – cabbhypnotherapy@gmail.com

My commitments to you

I will endeavour to bring about the best possible outcome for your presenting issue with the use of hypnotherapy; if I am confident, I have the necessary skills and knowledge. If I feel your presenting issue, or potential secondary issues are best treated by a more skilled colleague, or a health care professional, I will be honest and discuss these options with you before your treatment, or further treatment is continued.

All communication between us will be predominantly through email or your preferred contact method. I am not an on-call therapist.

Your questions, queries and feedback need to be communicated through email so that we both have written evidence of all communication. Emails that require a reply will be answered within 48 hours of receipt, unless circumstances beyond my control inhibit my ability to meet this time frame.

I will always treat you with respect, suspend all of my personal judgements and beliefs so that you receive the best help I am able to provide, I will always behave fairly, honestly and reasonably at all times and expect the same in return.

Your commitments to me

If you are experiencing a physical or mental health care emergency, or a significant change in your wellbeing, you must in ALL circumstances follow usual protocol.

You must contact a health care professional, call 111 or 999 if it is an emergency.

There are many registered charities that are “on-call” 24 hours per day if you need to speak to someone anonymously. These can easily be found online.

The Samaritans are available online or by calling 116 123 and can help with a wide range of concerns.

If you give me reason to believe you could be a danger to yourself or others, I reserve the right to contact your emergency contact in the first instance. If this contact is unavailable, I will contact your doctor or health care professional. Last resort will be the emergency services, but this will be communicated to you fully.

Cancellations

I reserve the right to cancel any future, pre-booked appointments/sessions, or suspend a session for any of the reasons below:

  • If I feel boundaries have been crossed in an inappropriate therapeutic relationship.
  • If gifts, gratuities or favours are offered whilst in treatment or between sessions or meetings.
  • If I feel there has been negative demonstrated behaviour against creed, colour or religion, minority groups, the LGBTQ community or diverse communities. This list is not exhaustive and can be updated by me at any time.
  • I reserve the right to suspend treatment if I have evidence (beyond reasonable doubt) that information regarding your physical or mental wellness has been withheld. This is to protect you, and I may suggest a referral to a more appropriately qualified therapist if I feel it is appropriate.

Your appointment time will be upheld at all times, unless circumstances out of my control cause me to have no other choice than to cancel. You will be informed of any cancellations at my earliest convenience by email and your preferred method of communication.
